Dr. Samer’s main interest in point of care ultrasound and hemodynamics monitoring in NICU and related quality projects. Surrey Memorial Hospital -NICU is a level III NICU with 32 bed capacity. Point of care Ultrasound was introduced a year ago and currently the use of lung ultrasound is part of the daily routine care and staff teaching is in progress for cranial US and other applications. NIRS monitoring was introduced about 2 month ago and has been used frequently for eligible patients in the last two weeks.
