At NeoPeds Academy, we are dedicated to advancing medical education through innovative and practical ultrasound training for healthcare professionals worldwide. Our mission is to empower students, physicians, neonatologists, and allied healthcare providers with the knowledge and hands-on skills needed to integrate point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) into everyday clinical practice.

About the founders
NeoPeds Academy was founded through a shared vision between two passionate neonatologists – Dr. Muzafar Gani Abdul Wahab and Prof. Yasser Elsayed – who believed that high-quality neonatal and point-of-care ultrasound education should be accessible to clinicians everywhere in the world. United by their dedication to teaching, innovation, and improving newborn care, they transformed years of international collaboration, workshops, and mentorship into a global educational platform designed for lifelong learning.
Dr. Gani Abdul Wahab
Dr. Gani, Associate Professor of Pediatrics at McMaster University, is internationally recognized for his leadership in neonatal ultrasound education, digital health innovation, and simulation-based learning. With training in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine and a master’s degree in eHealth, he has led numerous international conferences, online programs, and hands-on workshops focused on neonatal hemodynamics and point-of-care ultrasound.
Prof. Yasser Elsayed
Prof. Yasser Elsayed, Associate Professor of Pediatrics at University of Manitoba and founder of Winnipeg’s Integrated Hemodynamics and POCUS Program, is widely known for his research and clinical contributions in neonatal hemodynamics, targeted neonatal echocardiography, and neonatal ultrasound. He has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications, led international consensus statements, and trained clinicians globally in physiology-based neonatal care.
Together, their combined expertise, global teaching experience, and passion for mentoring healthcare professionals inspired the creation of NeoPeds Academy – a platform dedicated to empowering students, physicians, nurses, and allied healthcare providers through diploma programs, courses, webinars, workshops, and innovative digital learning experiences that improve neonatal and pediatric care worldwide.
